New Night Scene Oil Paintings

My latest series of night scene oil paintings has been such a pleasure to create. If you haven’t seen them yet on Instagram.

These works explore the creepy, hostile beauty of urban spaces, where pools of artificial coloured light transform the everyday into something otherworldly. I think of them as liminal spaces neither fully inhabited nor entirely abandoned.

As the nights draw in, I’ll be spending even more time capturing these nocturnal moments.
