Exhibition News, Venice Adventures & Dubai Masterclass Highlights

Dear friends,

I’m delighted to share that my painting Monument has been selected for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition 2025 at the Mall Galleries, London.

While I was a little disappointed that my other submissions didn’t make it through this time, I’m thrilled to have one piece accepted into such a prestigious exhibition. It’s always a privilege to show work alongside so many artists I admire -this selection makes all the long studio hours feel worthwhile.

The painting is now off to the framers in preparation for the opening night on Wednesday 26th November, and I’d love for you to join me there if you can.

This past half term also marked the culmination of months of planning for our Leonardo Centre Art & Architecture trip to Venice, where I had the pleasure of leading 24 pupils and four staff to this year’s Venice Biennale of Architecture. In addition to exploring the national pavilions, we visited the San Giorgio Maggiore bell tower, Punta della Dogana, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and even took a day trip to the colourful island of Burano.

Apart from a dramatic downpour on the first morning, we were blessed with clear blue skies that illuminated one of the most enchanting cities in the world. Venice often gets an unfair reputation among tourists, but I maintain it’s still one of the most beautiful cities on Earth — provided you know where to go, and when to go to avoid the crowds.

Finally, I’ve just returned from Dubai, where I was invited to teach my charcoal masterclass — first showcased earlier this year on Sky TV. A wonderful group of artist delegates gathered at an inspiring independent school for two days of expressive drawing. The first day explored my ongoing fascination with the built environment, while the second was devoted entirely to portraiture.

I am looking to develop my overseas course program. If you're interested in learning more about my courses visit my website or contact clive.wright@learningspacesolutions.com to book

Thank you, as always, for following my journey and for your continued support.

Warm regards,

Stuart
