My Journey with Print on Demand
Hello everyone,
I want to share my honest experience of trying to balance being both an artist and a teacher, with the hope of supplementing my teaching salary through print-on-demand (POD). This means selling limited edition prints - a more regular income source than relying on original art to sell.
These prints act as certified art pieces, offering a unique way to own my work at a significantly lower price than the original. I’ve had a great experience with theprintspace.com, whose service and advice have been brilliant.
That said, the journey isn’t easy. Experts stress mastering Instagram, which means a lot of time spent posting stories, reels, and more to increase exposure. Despite this focus on social media, creating new original works (obviously) remains essential to generate prints.
While making a profitable career as an artist might seem daunting, it's definitely achievable. I hope. Let hope the
